CMM Perspectives Blog
The Board of the CMM Institute and I are very excited those attending the 3rd annual Learning Exchange in a few weeks. We will have a very interesting group of people from as far away as Europe and Australia! I look forward to seeing all of you and having a rich and meaningful few days together.
This blog post will give you “everything you’ve wanted to know” about the Learning Exchange. If I’ve left something out that you want to know, don’t hesitate to send me an email with your question(s).
We have shared the results from our study at Mountain Vista School in Oracle (AZ) and at MacKay Campus Elementary School, Fitchburg (MA). This time, we’d like to share some experiences from Norway. Yes, the CosmoKidz toolkit is available in Norwegian as well. (Go to www.helemennesker.no for more information.)
You already heard about the results from our study at Mountain Vista School in Oracle (AZ). At MacKay Campus Elementary School, Fitchburg (MA), the teachers decided on a slightly different approach.
CosmoKidz is out and about, and making some difference in the world! Not just in the US, but in Norway as well. Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing experiences made at four different sites; two in the States, and two in Norway. This first blog will be about learning experiences from our study at Oracle, Arizona. Let us hear from a child what she felt she’d learnt after working with CosmoKidz over the course of a term :
«If someone doesn’t want to share and they should take turns, so it doesn’t become a big fight» --Emma, first grader.
As a change agent, you promise to bring your knowledge, wisdom and passion to support others in changing their performance. Given your commitment, we suspect you’ve spent tons of hours reading best practices, exploring different approaches and experimenting with various methodologies in pursuit of providing the best service. We also recognize that you’ve done lots of self-exploration and soul-searching to be the best you can be. We know this about you because that’s what we do, too.
